Summary

The Email Users plugin allows registered users to email other registered users. There are a variety of settings and permissions that can be modified to determine what can be sent in the emails and who can send emails to who. By default, contributors (our blog authors) cannot send emails via this plugin, however Admins, Editors, and Authors can.

Use

In order to send an email via Wordpress, go to Email > Email. From there select either "Send to User/s" or "Send to Group/s". Send to User/s allows you to select from a list of all registered users who you would like to email. Just like selecting multiple files in a folder, click and drag or hold CTRL (Command on Mac) while clicking who you would like to send to. Send to Group/s allows you to select a role and all users within that role will be sent an email. So, if you want to send a message to all Contributors, you simply select Contributors.

Upgrade

There are no modifications to this plugin, so upgrading it is as simple as deactivating, replacing the files with the upgrade, and reactivating.
