Summary

The Register Plus plugin allows for customization of the registration page and login pages for InfoTech Tuesday. The default registration for Wordpress is a bit confusing because it includes a Wordpress icon leaving users confused about what they are registering for. Register Plus allows for the replacement of this icon along with a number of other options to improve the password creation process, email notification, and captcha systems to combat spam accounts.

Use

This plugin has a simple settings page that puts all the options for the registration customization in one place. After navigating to Settings > Register Plus, the logo image, email verification, and captcha information can all be changed. For InfoTech Tuesday, the options being utilized are a changed logo, allowing users to enter their own password, and using the reCaptcha system to prevent spam account registration.

Upgrade

There are no modifications to this plugin, so upgrading it is as simple as deactivating, replacing the files with the upgrade, and reactivating.
