Summary
The Simple Tags plugin offers a number of useful tools to manage tags. In the article editing interface, Simple Tags adds three widgets to help authors and editors choose tags to describe their articles.
Simple Tag widget which autocompletes tags as you type based on tags that have been used before...

Click Tag widget which displays all the tags that have been used before, allowing the author/editor to click on the tag to add it to the article...

Suggested Tags widget which searches the article text and compares words with tags to offer suggested tags for the article using the local tags, Yahoo tagging API, or across the net...

In addition to the widgets it adds to the article writing interface, it also adds three tag management pages under Post:
- Post > Manage Tags which you to rename, delete, add, or edit tags.
- Post > Mass Edit Tags which lists out each article and the tags that have been applied to each article, allowing an editor to change tags to articles en masse.
- Post > Auto Tags which allows the editors to setup tags that will be automatically applied to articles if the plugin finds certain keywords you setup in the title of the article.
Use
Use of this plugin happens in a number of places, as described above. However, there is one admin settings page that offers a full host of settings options for each aspect of the plugin. Located at Settings > Simple Tags, is a tabbed interface for many different settings and configuration options for tags. There are a wide variety of different applications for the attributes Simple Tags offers that can be found in the settings. In InfoTech Tuesday, the settings have not been changed or tweaked much, if at all.

Upgrade
There are no modifications to this plugin, so upgrading it is as simple as deactivating, replacing the files with the upgrade, and reactivating.
