Welcome Message

Page history last edited by Betsy Edwards 1 mo ago

The following welcome message is to be used for each new author. It provides information about how they can access and use the InfoTech Tuesday publishing system (Wordpress).

An account has been created for you as an author of the InfoTech Tuesday newsletter. Welcome!

All articles must be submitted by noon Monday each week in order to make it into that week's newsletter.

HOW TO USE THE NEWSLETTER BLOG SYSTEM

  1. DRAFTS.
    1. Sign in to your account on the newsletter system at http://itnews.itac.k-state.edu/wp-login.php .
    2. When you write an article and click "Save Draft", your article is saved as a draft.
    3. The draft category is a repository.  Articles can be stored there indefinitely and rewritten as often as needed.
    4. You may write articles at any time and save as many drafts as you like.
    5. This repository is useful for storing topic ideas and starting articles you plan to develop for later use.
  2.  PENDING REVIEW.
    1. When your article is finished and you want to release it, you must save it as "Pending Review". Simply click "Submit for Review" instead of "Save Draft".
    2. The article will move from "draft" to "pending review", at which point newsletter editors will know you've submitted an article.
    3. All "pending review" articles submitted by noon Monday will be reviewed by the editors and put into the lineup for the next issue.
